Before use, soak diapers in hot water between 60¢XC to 70¢XC for around an hour. Then, wash with hot water and detergent, to remove fabric starches and make the diapers and liners more absorbent. The level of absorbency improves after several times of usage and wash.
For best results, wash the diapers and liners with water temperature around 60¢XC.
Avoid the use of fabric softener as it may reduce absorbency.
Avoid the use of bleach as it may damage fibers and elastics, and probably irritates baby's skin. |
Used Diapers
- Wet diapers go directly into the diaper pail, no rinsing is necessary. Soiled diapers are rinsed over the toilet, then put into the pail. Fill the pail with enough water to cover the diapers and change the water daily. (If you wish, you may put two to three drops of Tea Tree or Lavender essential oil into the pail to reduce odor and for antibacterial purpose*. Or for more convenience, use two tablespoon of clear vinegar instead of essential oil.)
- If you choose to immediately hand wash the diapers, skip soaking in the pail, just hand wash them with adequate amount of detergent and rinse thoroughly.
- When you are ready to launder, drain excess water from the pail and dump the diapers directly into the washing machine. Wash the diapers in a full cycle, using 60¢XC water, with detergent.
- Washed diapers may either be line dried or dried in the tumble dryer on medium heat.

(* Before adding essential oil into the pail, it requires to be dispersed with several drops of milk or vinegar since oil is not miscible with water.) |

Used Covers
- Hand or machine wash in warm water using detergent. Don¡¦t put them into the pail as they may take on odors.
- Washed covers may either be line dried or dried in the tumble dryer on medium heat.
- For the covers with Velcro, close them before washing and drying, as Velcro hooks will snag binding.
- Covers can usually be used 3 to 4 times before washing, provided they aren¡¦t soiled.
